Pretrial - Bureau of Prisons Transition Program

Please speak to your Pretrial Officer about the Pretrial - Bureau of Prisons Transition program:

If you are awaiting sentencing

If you have been sentenced and awaiting designation

If you have been designated to a facility and waiting self-surrender

This program is designed to provide first-hand information to clients about voluntary surrender and what to expect during incarceration. All pretrial clients are recommended to attend and encouraged to invite family, and friends. Bureau of Prisons representatives will be present to answer questions and concerns to help provide a smooth transition for clients and their families. The program is held quarterly, via telephone conference, and 1-hour in length with a question/aswer period. Pretrial clients are instructed to contact their pretrial supervision officer for information on attending a program.

The next Transition Program is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 10AM. A conference call line has been established for clients to participate.
